The Influence Of Crypto Investors On Economic Growth In Indonesia During The Period 2020-2025

This research aims to analyze the influence of crypto investors on Indonesia's economic growth
during the 2020–2025 period. Using a descriptive qualitative method and a normative
approach, this study relies on secondary data from journals, official reports, and previous
research. The results show a significant increase in the number of crypto investors, from around
4 million in 2020 to over 20 million in 2024, with transaction values reaching hundreds of
trillions of rupiah per year. Crypto investors contribute to economic growth through tax
revenue, financial inclusion, digital economy expansion, and technological innovation.
However, challenges such as high market volatility and low investor financial literacy have the
potential to disrupt financial stability. This study concludes that crypto investors have a dual
impact on the economy, offering both opportunities and risks. Therefore, adaptive regulation,
improved financial literacy, and the development of a healthy digital ecosystem are necessary
to maximize the positive contribution of crypto investment to national economic growth.
