Poverty today extends far beyond just economic deprivation or reduced income, encompassing broader social and developmental dimensions. In West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), economic growth is shaped not only by infrastructure development but also by factors such as poverty levels, the Human Development Index (HDI), population size, and more. Rural areas classified as Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost (3T) face pronounced poverty challenges. Research from 2024 reveals that rising social income inequality across Indonesia results in uneven distribution of economic growth benefits. In NTB, poverty is exacerbated by limited resources, and restricted access to education and employment opportunities. Addressing poverty in NTB therefore calls for a strategic approach focused on improving access to essential resources, quality education, and sustainable employment. The NTB Provincial Government has launched various poverty alleviation programs to tackle these issues, incorporating local initiatives and community-driven solutions. By emphasizing strategies such as acceleration, innovation, and the development of superior local commodities, these programs aim to produce a transformative impact. This approach not only improves community quality of life but also promotes sustainable regional growth. Achieving reduced poverty rates in NTB depends on effectively implementing these programs, which hold the potential to foster long-term economic resilience and uplift underserved communities.
